Hi, my name is Leo Farrell and I am the Captain of the Ireland National Baseball Team.
I started playing baseball at 10 years old for the Mariners in Greystones, County Wicklow. I was selected for Irish national team and have been the captain for the last few years. It’s been an honour to represent Ireland at the European level through baseball. The tournaments are competitive with numerous professional and ex-professional competing with amateur players. Baseball in Ireland is a minority sport but it is developing with some exciting young talent.
I am excited about the future of baseball in Ireland and our national teams.”
