THE IRISH NATIONAL TEAM – 2026
The Irish National Baseball Team returned this week from competing in this year’s European Baseball Championship in Wroclaw, Poland.
The team won the Bronze medal by finishing 3-2. The team started strong, beating the Ukraine (6-2) and Lithuania (11-1). They then met eventual champion, Slovakia who beat them 11-0. They then beat Norway (12-2). They closed the tournament against silver medalist Poland and lost (17-7).
The team’s next chance to qualify for the European Baseball Championships is in 2028.
