The Baseball Ireland Awards Ceremony was held recently with Ashbourne Giants declared 2022 A League Champion, Red Rox B League Champion and B2 League Pennant winners, and Mariners also winning Pennants in both the A League and B1 League categories.

Individual Awards in the Adult A League went to Sergiu Susano, Dublin Spartans A (A League Most Valuable Player and A League Best Pitcher – shared). Sharing in the A League Best Pitcher Award were Brendan Scott (also Spartans A) and Daniel Woodburne (Mariners A). Eduardo Hernandez (Ashbourne Giants A) took home both A League Batting Awards (Silver Slugger and Batting Title).

In the Adult B Leagues Darwin Sanchez, Belfast NorthStars won two awards (B1 League Most Valuable Player and B1 League Best Pitcher) as did Red Rox’s Florian Gniech (B2 League MVP and B2 League Silver Slugger). Other B1 League Award Winners were: Ryan Wiebe, Ashbourne Giants B (B1 League Silver Slugger) and Andy Croft, Comets (B1 League Batting Title). B2 League Awards went to James Kelly of the Vikings (B2 League Best Pitcher),  and Noel Mitchell (B2 League Batting Title).
